Plans for Our Yesterday House
Artifacts that have been stored since the last moving of the log house are being sorted, filed and stored. Logs have been sealed on the outside and chinking will soon begin inside. Artifacts and documents are in place and the museum is open on a regular basis in the summer. The collection includes numerous household items, letters, diaries, books, photographs, and other items from pioneer days. There is a display of historic logging and farming equipment in the nearby "Machine Shed".
A walkway has been built and perennial flower gardens are being planted.
Broken cement pieces were used to build the hour glass shaped sidewalk. The pieces came from the Liberty School basement floor which was redone. The front triangle section of the flower beds was planted in memory of Elaine (Lundberg) Vanderhoof, a teacher at Liberty School in 1949-1950.
